Congratulations to Kirsten Burg on her acceptance to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2014. Kirsten has been with SFVS for 3 years. We are sad to see her go, but so proud and excited for her embarking on this new phase of her career.

Dr. Barabas will be giving a talk at this meeting entitled Lymphoid neoplasia. Dr. Arsenault unfortunately will not be attending the Tri-County meeting (first time in 6 years!) as she will be attending the Canine Congestive Heart Failure symposium veterinary cardiologists in New Orleans.

On January 23, 2010, SFVS held a Vet appreciation night and CE seminar for the local vets. There were more than 50 people in attendance for the
meeting. Attendees enjoyed a light dinner while listening to talks by Dr. Arsenault who discussed tips for diagnosis and management of congestive heart failure and Dr. Barabas who talked about Canine
Melanoma and the melanoma vaccine. We had many awesome door prizes that were given away. The meeting was followed by a hockey game between the Florida Everblades and the Gwinnett Gladiators. A great game and a big win for the Everblades! We had excellent feedback from all attendees. In was a win-win all around! Stay tuned for our next event.
